BackgroundEl Degüello is a bugle call signaling that no quarter will be given in the assault. It is said to have been played before the gates of the Alamo. (Listen to: "El Degüello") In the El Degüello Tournament officers will play both sides against different opponents in the same scenario. Points will be awarded based on enemy killed and material destroyed in each battle.All officers are required to have access to HPS Antietam. Eight Officers will be registered from each Military Group (USA and CSA) on a first-come-first-served basis. The Tournament is limited to 16 players. The El Degüello Tournament is a sanctioned ACWGC event. All participants will recieve the El Degüello Tournament Campaign Ribbon. The Kearny Cross will be awarded to the high scoring USA officer. The Stonewall Jackson Medal will be awarded to the high scoring CSA officer. |
