Rules for the Tournament

What - The Cross Town Rivalry Tournament will be a series of battles between officers of I Corps and V Corps, Army of the Potomac.

Who - All Officers wishing to participate should contact their respective Corps commander, and inform them of what club games they own in both the Battleground and HPS systems.

When - The tournament will run during the months of July through October.  A different pairing and battle will be fought each round, with start dates of July 10th and August 31st.  All matches must be complete by the start date of the next round, and the final round matches must finish by October 22nd to count.  So you can play in one round or two rounds.

Battles - For each round, Headquarters will randomly pair opposing Corps officers based on games owned,  select the battle location, and determine by coin toss who plays the Rebel side, and who plays the Union side.  When the battle is completed, the officer that wins the battle gets 3 points for their Corps for a Major Victory, and 1 point for their Corps for a Minor Victory.  At the end of the summer campaigning season on October 22nd, the Corps with the highest point total will be declared this years Cross-Town Rivalry champions.

Options for the game - All matches will be played with all Optional Rules on, and HPS battles will be multi-phased, like the Battleground system, where a separate movement, fire, and melee phase exists.
